More about The BMW X2
The BMW Head-Up Display projects relevant information regarding the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, allowing the driver to concentrate on driving entirely. The display includes information such as the current speed, navigation directions, and Speed Limit information, including no-overtaking indicator and telephone and entertainment lists.
No journey is too much for the BMW X2. The BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system smoothly and variably distributes drive power to the front and rear wheels for enhanced traction, driving dynamics and safety, proving that no terrain is too challenging for the BMW X2 to handle. On top of the innovative X Drive system, the adaptive suspension with a lowering of ten millimetres allows drivers to adjust to damper characteristics to suit a range of driving conditions. This combines ride comfort and driving dynamics with the best possible safety. The driver can choose between different driving modes, including Standard, Comfort, or Sport mode.

What's my Towing Capacity?
The BMW X2 has an average towing capacity of around 1700KG to 2000KG; this capacity allows the driver to tow anything from a trailer to a medium-sized caravan. To find an accurate towing capacity for your BMW X2, please refer to the vehicle's VIN plate; this is located under the bonnet or on the passenger side door sill.
Which Towbar is best for my BMW X2?
There are three options available when picking a towbar for the BMW X2, a fixed flange towbar, a fixed swan neck towbar, and a detachable swan neck towbar. The fixed flange towbar is a towbar that cannot be removed from the vehicle's bumper once it has been fitted. The chunky design of the flange towbar means it may cause interference with rear parking sensors, depending on where the sensors have been placed.
The fixed flange towbar is the only style of Towbar that has a plate fitted to the rear of the bar; this allows for bolt-on accessories to be attached to the Towbar. The fixed flange towbar is the only Towbar compatible with bolt-on style cycle carriers; this style allows for the Towbar to attach to the carrier and tow simultaneously. The fixed flange towbar is also compatible with clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans. If you are towing anything with an ALKO stabiliser, you must purchase an ALKO tow ball.
The fixed swan neck is another style of permanent Towbar; again, this cannot be removed at the end of towing as this will cause issues with the fitment of the Towbar. The fixed swan neck is much thinner in design than the fixed flange towbar, meaning it is less likely to cause any interference with rear parking sensors. The fixed swan neck is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans. There is no need to purchase an ALKO towball if towing with an ALKO stabiliser, as this Towbar is long enough for a secure connection.
Finally, the detachable swan neck towbar is the only style of Towbar where the neck can be removed after towing has been completed. Using a twist and push method, the towbar neck will disconnect and leave just the towbar housing. The electric socket will flip up underneath the bumper, leaving the Towbar's remainder practically unseen. This works perfectly alongside rear parking sensors, leaving the sensors to work as intended once the towbar neck has been removed. The detachable swan neck is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. Like the fixed swan neck, the detachable swan neck is compatible with ALKO stabilisers; therefore, there is no need to purchase an ALKO towball.
Will it need a bumper cut?
To fit any of our towbars to the BMW X2, our professionally trained towbar engineers will need to make a small non-visible bumper cut to the vehicle's undertray. This incision will only be visible when looking underneath the vehicle and will be made as small and neat as possible. If your BMW X2 has been modified or isn't fitted with the standard bumper, our engineers may need to make a more significant cut to the bumper.
