The best quality towbars for your Cupra

The name Cupra is relatively new in the domestic automotive industry, but their sleek and sporty offerings have turned heads already.

Cupra were founded as ‘Cupra Racing’ in 2018 and formerly known as ‘Seat Racing’. Their brand developed high performance and racing cars and competed in World Rally Championships from 1985. The swift decision to change the name and branding had ambition to reinvent racing in every possible way.

From high-speed rally tracks, to cruising the urban jungle, Cupra have adjusted their offering to those desiring a sports car feel on their daily commute. Cupra are a new and unique contemporary vision of sportiness, combined with beauty, style, functionality, technology, and reliability.

Their range began with two models, the Cupra Born and Cupra Formentor, and in more recent years has added a further four models to their offering. The Cupra Ateca is the perfect family SUV with a stylish edge, the subtle sporty hint in every model is what separates Cupra from the other manufacturers.

Their most recent model release was the Cupra E-Racer, their first all-electric model has been tried and tested on the tracks, opening the door to a new driving experience and definition of racing. The E-Racer boasts 680 bhp, topping speeds of 270km/h.

The ever-growing popularity of the innovative brand that is Cupra shows no sign of slowing. The combination of the sports-car-feel and practical purpose makes an ideal towing vehicle, whether you’re transporting your bikes or hitching up a caravan the Cupra’s capacity has no end.

If your car has parking sensors, it is always best to avoid the Flangeball Towbar, as the sensors may pick up the towbar neck.

Which towbar electrics do I need?

Modern Cupra models are fitted with complex can-bus wiring which allows all the the cars complex systems to work together.

This functionality extends to the towbar wiring which allows built in safety systems, such as Trailer Stability Control, to work seamlessly with your trailer or caravan attached.

For this reason, we always recommend to fit vehicle specific wiring as standard.

This is because the cars have built-in safety features such as Trailer Stability Control which can help prevent your trailer or caravan from getting out of control. With aftermarket wiring these features wouldn't be activated so it is not suitable for the job.
