More about the BMW X7
If a long commute is taking its toll or you’ve just had a rubbish day in the office, the BMW X7 has created Caring Car, a piece of technology to create a climate that will help create the perfect driving experience. If you say, “Hey BMW, I am tired”, the technology will use ambient lighting to help stimulate you and use climate control to help energise the driver. If that weren’t enough, an energetic tune would begin to play via the audio system.
When heading out on a weekend adventure, there is no need to worry if the weather conditions may affect the driving experience or if you are approaching some challenging terrain. The BMW X7 is on hand to provide the ultimate drive with its driving modes. The driver can pick between Sport, Comfort, Eco Pro and Sport + Mode.

What's my Towing Capacity?
The BMW X7 has a towing capacity range of 2,200KG up to 3,500KG. This allows the driver a varied range of towing options depending on what is stated on their VIN Plate. To check what your BMW X7 can tow, please refer to the VIN plate located underneath the bonnet or on the passenger door sill.
Which Towbar is best for my X7?
The BMW X7 has the fixed flange towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar available for fitment. Both these styles of towbars are compatible with towing options and can be fitted at home on your driveway.
The fixed flange towbar is a permanent towbar that cannot be removed at the end of towing; this means that if your vehicle has rear sensors, there could be an interference when you put the vehicle in reverse. The fixed flange towbar has a plate fitted to it on the rear of the Towbar that allows towing accessories to be bolted onto it, meaning that the driver can tow and use a bolt-on accessory simultaneously. The fixed flange towbar is compatible with all cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans; however, if you are towing something with an ALKO stabiliser, then an ALKO towbar must be purchased beforehand.
The detachable swan neck towbar can be removed when towing has been completed; once the towbar neck has been removed, the electrical socket should flip up underneath the bumper, leaving the rest of the towing equipment practically invisible. The detachable swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. If you are towing anything with an ALKO stabiliser, the detachable swan neck can also tow this without the need for an ALKO towball.
Will my BMW X7 need a bumper cut?
There is no bumper cut required when installing any towbar onto the standard BMW X7; however, please note if your vehicle’s bumper has been modified in any way or is not the standard style, modifications may be required. Don't hesitate to get in touch with our sales team for further information on bumper modifications on the BMW X7.
