Ford Tourneo Courier Towbars

The Ford Tourneo Courier was sold between 2018-2020 and is Ford’s smallest MPV of this period, although you wouldn’t know it as the vehicle feels particularly spacious, helped by the case amount of headroom and fantastic all-round vision with a wider and higher than average windscreen, stretching way above your line of vision.

As expected from an MPV, there is an abundance of storage, which comprises handy smaller storage, such as an under-seat drawer on the passenger seat and an overhead stowage shelf in the cabin and a roomy boot capacity of 708 litres. Sliding rear doors ensure maximum open space meaning passengers can climb in and out with ease, or you can load shopping or car seats with no problems, even when parked in tight spaces.

The Ford Tourneo Courier is exceptionally good value for money, especially for those who require the space. It also doesn’t feel like a commercial vehicle with the seats fixed in the rear, despite it looking very much like a compact van. As well as this, it also handles surprisingly well due to it sharing the same platform as the Ford Fiesta.

The Tourneo Courier has some very useful and practical accessories available such as roof bars, and roof boxes. Another optional addition could be Cruise Control with Adjustable Speed Limiter which allows you to cruise effortlessly along the motorway, taking some of the effort out of driving while towing.

What's my Towing Capacity?

The towing capacity of the Ford Tourneo Courier supports upto 1,800kg which is substantial and will allow you to tow anything from a cycle carrier or trailer up to a medium-sized caravan. We would always recommend checking the vehicle's VIN plate in order to obtain the accurate towing capacity for your vehicle.

Which Towbar is best for my Ford Tourneo Courier?

The only style of towbar we currently offer for the Ford Tourneo Courier is the Fixed Flange towbar which is extremely versatile, and compatible with most accessories, including bolt-on style attachments. Thus meaning you could fix a bolt-on cycle carrier, for example, as well as tow your caravan or trailer at the same time. The Fixed Flange towbar is permanently fixed to your vehicle, however, so cannot be removed once installation is complete. With the design of the Fixed Flange towbar being quite bulky in design, if your vehicle has rear parking sensors, there is a possibility of the towbar interfering with these. The Fixed Flange is not ALKO compatible, however you can purchase an ALKO towball which would allow you to hitch up your caravan with an ALKO stabiliser.

Will it need a bumper cut?

The bumper of your Ford Tourneo Courier will need to be removed during fitment, but there are no adaptations or cut required to the bumper during the installation of your towbar.
