What's my Towing Capacity?
The Ford Ranger has a towing capacity of around 3,500KG. This towing capacity is the highest available on the market. It provides ample options when it comes to picking what tow. Whether you need your tow bar for hitching up your bikes or for enjoying a holiday with your caravan, the Ford Ranger will rise to the challenge.
Which Towbar is best for my Ford Ranger?
The Ford Ranger has the fixed flange towbar available for fitment. This style of towbar is permanent which means it cannot be removed at the end of towing. The fixed flange towbar is also the only style of towbar that has a plate fitted that allows for towing accessories to be attached whilst the towball is being used to tow. The fixed flange towbar is compatible with all styles of cycle carriers, trailers and caravans, however, an ALKO-style towball is required when towing a caravan with an ALKO stabiliser.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting a fixed flange towbar is fitted to the Ford Ranger there is no requirement for any bumper modifications. The Towbar engineer always discusses any modifications before the installation begins, if there are any upgrades to Ranger’s bumper this may result in additional modifications needing to be made.
