More about Vauxhall Crossland Towbars
The Vauxhall Crossland is bold, confident, and stylish; the practical SUV has everything a family needs to enjoy plenty of adventures and make new memories on the road.
Made with plenty of space, the Vauxhall Crossland allows enough room for the whole family to pile in. The generous loading space allows for more room if not every seat has been taken, as the entire back row of seats can be laid flat, creating a mammoth 1,255 litres of boot space.
The Crossland's innovative technology works alongside the driver to allow them to enjoy every driving experience. Full of safety systems, the technology enables the driver to concentrate on the destination rather than worrying about how they will get there. Some of the technologies included in the Crossland are Hill Start Assist, Speed Sign Recognition and Emergency Braking.
Vauxhall created PureTechnology, which combines comfort and pleasure to provide the ultimate driving experience. Pure Sense uses the smartest, class-leading safety and driver-assistance technology to ensure that the driver feels at complete ease whenever they are behind the wheel. The technology will constantly be working away, scanning the road to keep the driver safe and enhance the experience.
The combination of Intellilux LED Pixel Matrix Headlights, Night Vision and Intelli-Vision means that you have support no matter the time of day or the type of manoeuvre you are doing. The Intellilux LED Pixel Matrix Headlights provide maximum visibility without dazzling other drivers when driving at night. The Night Vision technology gives the driver complete control on every journey; equipped with the Pixel Matrix Headlights and the advanced infrared camera, the system will detect pedestrians, cyclists, or animals up to 100 metres away. The Intelli-Vision is a 360-degree parking system that activates automatically when you put the Crossland into reverse. Using four cameras placed around the car, you have full vision to see whether any traffic is approaching or if you're a little too close to the kerb when parking in a tight spot.
What’s my Towing Capacity?
The Vauxhall Crossland has an average towing capacity of 650-870KG. This is a relatively low capacity, but that doesn't mean you would be unable to tow. This capacity would allow for a lightweight trailer or a cycle carrier with 1-2 bikes. Please refer to your vehicle's VIN plate to get an accurate towing capacity for your Crossland.
Which Towbar is best for my Crossland?
When deciding on which type of Towbar you would like to choose for your Vauxhall Crossland, consider some things; what are you using the Towbar for? Does your vehicle have rear sensors? Would you like to remove your Towbar after towing? Once you have answered these questions, you will find the Towbar most suited to your towing requirements.
The fixed flange towbar is a permanent towbar that cannot be removed at the end of towing; its bulky design also means it may affect reverse parking sensors every time your vehicle is in reverse. However, the fixed flange towbar is the only style of Towbar with a plate at the back of the Towbar that allows for towing accessories to be bolted on. It is, therefore, the only Towbar that is compatible with bolt-on style towbars. The fixed flange towbar is also compatible with clamp-on style towbars, trailers, and cycle carriers. Please be aware that if towing with an ALKO stabiliser, you will need to purchase an ALKO tow ball if you have a flange style towball.
The fixed swan neck towbar is another permanent towbar style; however, it is a lot thinner in design and, therefore, a lot less likely to cause a disturbance with rear sensors when the vehicle is in reverse. The fixed swan neck cannot be removed after towing, but it looks a lot less intrusive on the vehicle due to it being thinner. The fixed swan neck towbar is compatible with clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans. Unlike the fixed flange towbar, the fixed swan neck towbar can be used with an ALKO Stabiliser without purchasing an additional ALKO towball.
Finally, the detachable swan neck towbar is the only style of Towbar that can be removed once towing has been completed. The towbar neck will easily click out of place using a twist and push method, leaving the electric socket to flip up underneath the bonnet. This leaves the vehicle's aesthetic looking like before a towbar has been fitted. Another bonus is rear parking sensors will be able to work as intended when in reverse, and there will be nothing for them to detect. The detachable swan neck is compatible with clamp-on cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. There is no need to purchase an ALKO towball when towing with an ALKO stabiliser, as the neck will provide enough clearance to attach.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting any of the towbars to the Vauxhall Crossland, a small non-visible bumper cut will be made to the vehicle's undertray. This incision will only be noticeable if looking directly at the cut. If your Crossland's bumper has been modified, the bumper cut may be extended; however, this will be discussed before the fitment begins.
