More about your Vauxhall Vivaro
A one-hundred-and-eighty-degree rear-view camera provides excellent spatial awareness when attempting to hook up to your trailer or caravan - while a heads-up display presents key driving details without drawing your attention away from the road. The Vauxhall Vivaro aims to provide a stress-free driving experience, enabling it to offer a confident and assured platform for towing.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The new Vauxhall Vivaro offers a maximum braked towing capacity of up to 2,500kg or 1000kg for the Vivaro-e - though you need to refer to the VIN plate to confirm the towing capacity for your vehicle.
Which Towbar is best for my Vauxhall Vivaro?
The fixed flange towbar offers the most choice when it comes to accessories, with the option of mounting a ball and pin for commercial trailers or a range of bumper protector plates and bolt-on cycle carriers. An ALKO towball accessory is required to tow caravans with an ALKO stabiliser. For vehicles with parking sensors, there is the possibility these will detect a fixed towbar – though this is less likely on larger vehicles such as vans.
A fixed swan neck towbar incorporates the towball into the neck of the towbar and is compatible with ALKO stabilisers, simply needing the paint removed from the towball. A fixed swan neck towbar is less likely to interfere with parking sensors than a fixed flange towbar.
A detachable swan neck towbar offers the benefits of the fixed swan neck, with the advantage of a removable neck. As the neck is removable when not in use, this ensures parking sensors do not detect the towbar in everyday use and impacts less on the appearance of the vehicle.
Will it need a bumper cut?
Towbars for the new Vauxhall Vivaro do not require a bumper cut, avoiding modifications to the bumper and allowing the detachable towbar to be almost invisible when the neck is removed.
