More about Seat Tarraco Towbars
The 4Drive all-wheel driving system allows the driver enough power to take on any road condition with added traction, stability and grip. The all-wheel driving system allows the driver to be able to explore all different terrains by monitoring the driving conditions and reacting to even the slightest of wheel slippage. This can all happen within a couple of milliseconds, providing the driver with the confidence to explore even the most challenging terrains, proving that there is nowhere off limits when driving the Seat Tarraco.
Lane Assist and Front Lane Assist are two safety-conscious features added to the Terraco to always keep the driver and passengers safe. Lane Assist estimates the distance between you from another car in traffic; the technology will then adjust the speed accordingly without leaving the lane.
Front Assist monitors the traffic at the front of the vehicle; for example, if a bicycle unexpectedly crosses your path or a car in front suddenly brakes, the Tarraco will instantly react and will therefore apply the brakes.
What’s my Towing Capacity?
The Seat Tarraco has a towing capacity of approximately 2450KG; however, different trims offer different capacities. The most accurate method of generating your towing capacity is by checking your VIN plate located either under the bonnet or on the passenger door sill.
Which Towbar is best for my Tarraco?
We offer a range of towbars for the Seat Tarraco, all of which cater to the driver's differing needs; whether you want to remove the Towbar after every tow or simply prefer a chunkier neck, there is a towbar for all.
The fixed flange towbar is a popular choice for those who don't wish to remove the Towbar once towing has finished. Fitted with a bolt-on plate at the back of the bar, this allows for towing accessories to be added to the Towbar. The bolt-on plate allows for the driver to tow and use an accessory at the same time. These accessories can include a bumper protector plate or even a cycle carrier; however you must check the cycle carrier is a bolt-on style. Due to the chunky design of the flange towbar, it could cause a disturbance with any rear parking sensors.
The fixed swan neck towbar is a great option for those who want to keep the Towbar on the vehicle permanently but prefer the look of the swan neck towbar. The thinner design of the Towbar means it is less protruding on the vehicle and is also less likely to interfere with rear parking sensors than the fixed flange towbar. The fixed swan neck towbar is also ALKO compatible works alongside all ALKO stabilisers and can also be used to tow the majority of cycle carriers.
The detachable swan neck towbar is perfect for those who wish to remove the towbar neck once towing has been completed. The detachable Towbar is almost invisible once the neck is removed, leaving the vehicle's aesthetics looking untouched. The swan neck style towbar is also great for towing a whole host of things due to being ALKO compatible; this is great for those towing a caravan with an ALKO Stabiliser.
Will the Tarraco need a bumper cut?
No bumper cut is required when fitting any of the towbars to the Seat Tarraco; however, the bumper would need to be removed during the towbar installation. Due to the different trim levels of the Tarraco, some vehicle bumpers may need modifying at the time of fitment; if you are unsure if this applies to your car, please contact our sales team for further assistance.
