More about the Land Rover Discovery Sport
The luxurious SUV has everything you need to offer you a towing experience like no other. Its all-wheel drive guarantees a confident drive no matter the terrain. On slippery surfaces such as grass or snow, the torque can be balanced between the front and rear wheels to maximise the traction of the vehicle.
With the UKS unpredictable weather Land Rover created the perfect system to match driving conditions, Rain Response 2. This clever system matches the demands of the terrain by optimising the Discovery Sport with one of four driving modes. It monitors the driving conditions and systematically selects the most suitable driving mode for you.
If you long for exploring the outdoors, then the Discovery Sport is the perfect fit with its wade sensing technology. You can remain confident driving in deep water as the vehicle will help you tackle the crossing safely.
Poor visibility when towing is no longer an issue to worry about, the Discovery Sport has this covered with Clearsight Ground View technology. The 3D Surround camera allows you to effectively see through the bonnet to display multiple exterior views.
On top of the 3D Surround camera, the Discovery Sport is also equipped with the Clearsight interior view mirror. You no longer need to struggle seeing past your passengers and all their gear; the clear sight mirror allows you to enjoy an unobstructed view.
There are no limitations in the outdoor adventures you can have with the Discovery Sport. With all its clever technology and spacious design, it’s a car suited to the whole family. All you need to do now is pick your cycle carrier or caravan and select your destination.
What’s the Towing Capacity of the Land Rover Discovery Sport?
The Discovery Sport has the maximum towing capacity available, meaning the driver has 2500kG to play with. The generous towing capacity allows you to take your pick when choosing what to tow.
Which Towbar is best for my vehicle?
We offer a range of towbars for the Discovery Sport, including the Detachable swan neck towbar, fixed flange towbar and the fixed swan neck towbar. We always recommend the detachable swan neck towbar for those who have parking sensors, as the detachable neck can be removed when towing has ended, meaning the parking sensors will not be affected by the Towbar.
If you don’t want to remove the towbar neck after towing the fixed swan neck is the perfect option. The thinner style neck means it is less likely to affect parking sensors. Please note the fixed swan neck towbar isn’t available for the vehicles with the underslung spare wheel.
The fixed flange towbar is a great option for those wishing to use towbar accessories alongside their towbars. All bolt-on accessories attach to the plate behind the towbar neck. Please browse our range of accessories to see which one you require.
Will it need a bumper cut?
Due to different models available, some Discovery Sport models require a bumper cut for a towbar fitment. Vehicles with the underslung spare wheel will need a modification to the vehicle’s bumper, due to where the spare wheel sits, this would be visible.
If your vehicle is without the underslung spare wheel, then a small cut would need to be made to the undertray of the vehicle; however, this would not be visible. All towbar fitments would require the bumper to be removed during the towbar fitment, but this will be refitted at the end of the installation.
