More about the Peugeot Boxer
As well as panel vans, Peugeot also offers the usual mix of chassis cabs, tippers, drop-side trucks, and crew cabs which are all available in S, Professional, Grip and Asphalt trim levels. All Boxers drive through a six-speed manual gearbox to the front wheels only and none of the models is available in an automatic transmission. The standard Boxer comes with a steel bulkhead between the load space and the cab which provides an element of safety and security. Further security measures have been considered with the addition of deadlocks to the standard model too.
The four body lengths and three roof heights mean that there’s a van available for every requirement. The variety of sizes makes the Boxer a popular base for caravan conversions too. If your vehicle has had modifications such as a camper conversion, then we will need to see images of the inside of the rear doors to ensure we are still able to complete the installation.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The towing capacity for the Peugeot Boxer varies depending on the model. The specific towing limit for your vehicle can be found on the VIN plate, and this must be referred to before booking your towbar installation.
Which Towbar is best for my Peugeot Boxer?
There are three different options of towbars for your Peugeot Boxer a fixed flange towbar, a fixed swan neck and a detachable swan neck towbar. All three of the towbar styles are compatible with cycle carriers, however, the fixed flange towbar is the only towbar that can tow cycle carriers that bolt on.
The fixed swan neck towbar and the detachable swan neck towbars are both ALKO compatible, meaning any caravan with an ALKO stabiliser can be towed without purchasing an ALKO towball as an extra. The detachable swan neck towbar is the only style of towbar that can be removed once towing has been completed. Using a simple twist and lock method the towbar neck easily detaches from the towbar housing leaving the rest of the towing equipment practically invisible.
Will it need a bumper cut?
There is no bumper cut required to fit any towbar option onto the Peugeot Boxer if the bumper is standard. If you have had modifications to your vehicle or a different bumper added, then we would recommend referring to the fitting instructions before booking your installation. Our helpful customer service team will be able to advise should you require any assistance.
