More about the Volvo V60 (Cross Country)
It is equipped with innovative features that provide the driver with everything they require to have the ultimate driving experience, including the Best-In-Class navigation that will seamlessly provide clear instructions to guide the driver to their destination.
Creating a stress-free environment for the driver was top of the list when Volvo designed the V60 Cross-Country. Day or night, the intelligent safety assistance technology is on hand to detect and avoid other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and large animals. If the driver fails to react, it works by first warning the driver and then by auto-braking through emergency steering support.
The Blind Spot Information Systems will provide active support when changing lanes, and if there is a risk of collision, the system will subtly adjust the steering, which will keep the driver, the car, and all passengers safe and where they need to be.
The innovative safety features are always on hand to guide the driver through all their driving woes, whether it's reversing out of a space or perfecting the perfect park. The 360-degree parking view uses four cameras to help the system park confidently, even in tight spaces. And when it's time to get out of the space, the cross-traffic alert with autobrake will support the driver by detecting vehicles crossing behind the car. If needed, the system will apply the auto brake to prevent any collisions.

What’s the Towing Capacity of the Volvo V60?
The Volvo V60 Estate has an approximate towing capacity of 1800KG to 2000KG; this capacity would allow you to tow a cycle carrier, trailer or a small to a medium caravan. To check for an accurate towing capacity for your Volo V60, please refer to the VIN plate on your vehicle.
Which Towbar is best for my Volvo V60?
When it comes down to picking the perfect Towbar for your Volvo V60 Cross over, there are three contenders to decide between: The fixed flange towbar, the fixed swan neck towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar. Each one offers something slightly different.
The fixed flange towbar is a permanent towbar which must always remain on the vehicle; this is a great option for customers who aren't bothered about removing the towbar neck after towing. Depending on the position of the rear parking sensors, the fixed flange towbar may cause an interference when the vehicle is in reverse. The fixed flange towbar is fitted with a plate at the rear of the Towbar that allows for towbar accessories to be bolted onto the Towbar. This is the only style of Towbar that can accommodate bolt of style accessories. The fixed flange towbar is compatible with every style of cycle carrier, trailers, and caravans. Although if you are towing anything with an ALKO stabiliser, an ALKO towball must be purchased beforehand.
The fixed swan neck is the other permanent towbar style; this also cannot be removed at the end of towing. The fixed swan neck style is popular due to its thinner design. The swan neck towbar allows for a larger clearance between the rear sensors and the Towbar, meaning when the vehicle is in reverse, it is a lot less likely to disturb the sensors, leaving the rear sensors to work as intended. The fixed swan neck towbar is compatible with clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans. Unlike the fixed flange towbar, there is no need to purchase an ALKO tow ball when towing with an ALKO stabiliser, as the swan neck style towbar will provide enough room for it to connect comfortably.
The detachable swan neck is the only style of Towbar we offer that can be removed once towing has been completed. Using a twist and push method (the towbar engineer will demonstrate this), the neck easily detaches from the housing, leaving the Towbar looking almost invisible. This is a great choice for customers who have rear parking sensors on the V60 Cross Country, as once the neck has been removed, the rear sensors are able to work as intended. The detachable swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. Similar to the fixed swan neck towbar, there is no requirement for an ALKO towball when towing with an ALKO stabiliser.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting a towbar to the Volvo V60, the towbar engineer will need to make a non-visible bumper cut to the vehicle's undertray. The modification will only be noticeable when looking at the undertray face on. Please be aware that if your bumper isn't the cross-country model, then the bumper cut may be larger.
