More about the Volvo XC90
The XC90 has a 360° parking view which allows the driver to park confidently and comfortably, even if you have a caravan attached to the back of the car. There are four cameras located at the front and the rear of the vehicle, allowing a full view of the vehicle. On top of this, the XC90 also has a cross alert with auto-brake that supports the driver when reversing with a limited view. This detects vehicles that are crossing behind, and an auto-brake can be applied if required.
Volvo has created a unique feature, Connected Safety, which can help the driver foresee and adapt their driving to hazardous situations on the journey head. By using the actual weather and infrastructure information, the clever feature alerts the driver with a symbol on the driver display, giving you enough time to prepare for the change in conditions.
What’s the Towing Capacity of the XC90?
The Volvo XC90 boasts a generous towing weight that starts at 2400KG and can go to around 2700KG, although different models have different towing capabilities. For a more accurate towing weight, please refer to your VIN plate.
Which Towbar is best for my XC90?
We offer both the fixed flange towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar for the Volvo XC90. If your XC90 is equipped with parking sensors, we always advise opting for the detachable swan neck towbar, as the neck can be removed once towing has been completed, so your parking sensors are unaffected by the Towbar.
If, however, you do not wish to remove the towbar neck after each tow, the fixed flange towbar is also compatible. The fixed flange towbar also allows for bolt-on accessories to be added to the Towbar. Items like the Bumper protector plate can be added to this Towbar to allow extra protection for the vehicle’s bumper.
Will it need a bumper cut?
All towbars for the Volvo XC90 require a non-visible bumper cut to be made when the Towbar is being installed. This modification will be minimal and is only visible when looking underneath the vehicle at the undertray.
