What's my Towing Capacity?
The towing capacity for the Kia XCeed sits between 1300kg and 1410kg depending on the model selected, allowing it to tow a cycle carrier, trailer, or caravan. It is important to remember that not all vehicles are homologated to tow, so you must refer to the VIN plate on your vehicle before booking your towbar fitment. Please bear in mind the addition of a towbar to your Electric or Hybrid Vehicle may impact the range that the battery is capable of.
Which Towbar is best for my Kia XCeed Hatchback?
There are two styles of towbars available for the Kia XCeed, a fixed swan neck towbar and a detachable swan neck towbar. parking sensors. Both styles of towbars are long and thin, which makes them a popular choice amongst drivers with vehicles equipped with reverse parking sensors. The thin design of the towbar allows for more clearance between where the towbar sits and where the parking sensors are fitted.
Both the swan neck style of towbars are ALKO-compatible and can be used with caravans with ALKO stabilisers without the requirement for an ALKO tow ball. Both styles of swan neck towbars can be used with clamp-on style cycle carriers. The detachable swan neck is the only style of removable towbar for the Kia XCeed, the towbar neck is easily removed from the housing using a twist-and-push method. Once the towbar neck has been detached the remainder of the towbar becomes invisible leaving the Kia XCeed to return to its original aesthetics.
Will it need a bumper cut?
The Fixed swan neck towbar requires a non-visible bumper cut to the undertray of the vehicle. This bumper cut is classed as a non-visible bumper cut as it can only be seen when looking at the bumper cut face-on.
