What's my Towing Capacity?
The Kia ProCeed has an approximate towing capacity of around 1000 kg, this weight would allow the driver to tow a trailer, cycle carrier or a small caravan. We always advise checking the weight of what you are intending to tow as overloading your towbar can lead to damage to your vehicle, or the towbar becoming unhitched.
Which Towbar is best for my Kia Pro Cee'd Hatchback?
There are two styles of towbars available for the Kia Pro Ceed hatchback, the fixed swan neck towbar, and the detachable swan neck towbar. Both styles of towbars are thin in design meaning they will work alongside the vehicle's rear parking sensors allowing the sensors to work as intended.
The fixed swan neck towbar is a permanent style of towbar that cannot be removed when towing has been completed. The detachable swan neck towbar has a removable towbar neck which easily detaches from the towbar housing using a twist and pushes method. Once the towbar has been detached the towbar electrics will flip underneath the vehicle's bumper and allow the Kia Pro-Ceed to return to its pre-towbar state. Both the fixed swan neck towbar and the detachable swan neck towbars are compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans, they are also ALKO compatible which means they can hitch to a caravan with an ALKO stabiliser without needing an ALKO towball fitted.
