What's my Towing Capacity?
The Renault Arkana has a towing capacity of between 760-900KG. This capacity is perfect for towing a trailer or cycle carriers. To receive an accurate capacity for your Renault Arkana, please refer to the vehicle's VIN plate located on the driver's/passenger door sill near the tyre pressures or in the bonnet.
Which Towbar is best for my Renault Arkana?
Two types of towbars are available for the Renault Arkana: the fixed swan neck towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar. Both towbars are identical in their appearance; with the long narrow necks and slim design, the swan neck styles of Towbar are a firm favourite within the towing community.
The swan neck style of the Towbar often works seamlessly with rear parking sensors; its design allows for more clearance between the parking sensors and the chassis, allowing the sensors to work as intended. Both the fixed swan neck towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar are compatible with all styles of clamp-on cycle carriers, trailers and caravans, making it a great choice when selecting your Towbar.
The detachable swan neck differs from the fixed swan neck at the end of towing; it can easily be removed from the towbar housing, making the vehicle appear back to its original aesthetic. Both styles of Towbar are also ALKO compatible, so there is no need to purchase an ALKO towball when using your Towbar to pull a caravan with an ALKO stabiliser.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting either the fixed swan neck towbar or the detachable swan neck towbar to the Renault Arkana, a small non-visible bumper cut will be made to the vehicle's bumper. Before the towbar engineer begins the fitment, he will discuss all modifications made to the vehicle. If your Arkana has been modified or is not fitted with the standard bumper, a larger incision may need to be made to complete the fitment.
