More about The Renault Captur
The new Captur E-Tech Hybrid works to maximise electric drive around urban terrain by reducing fuel consumption and maximising comfort. The E-Tech will seamlessly switch between electric power and a combination of petrol and electric power to optimise the driving performance and fuel efficiency. The E-Tech model is more fun and less fuel; it's the ideal technology if drivers want to reduce running costs without changing their car habits. The petrol engine is coupled with two electric motors and a small battery that works to lower fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions.
The Renault Captur enhances its driver's experience without compromising on safety. The safety features available for the Renault Captur are Automatic High/Low Beam, front and rear parking sensors, Emergency Brake Assist, Front Passenger Airbag with manual inhibition, Rear View Camera, Lane Departure Warning and automatic parking brake with Auto-Hold.

What's my Towing Capacity?
The Renault Captur has a towing capacity of between 750KG to 1,200KG; this capacity will allow the driver to tow bike carriers, a trailer or a small caravan. To find out an accurate towing capacity for your Captur, please refer to the vehicle's VIN plate.
Which Towbar is best for my Renault Captur?
Two types of towbars are available for the Renault Captur: the Fixed Swan neck style towbar and the Detachable Swan neck towbar.
The fixed swan neck towbar is a permanent style of towbar that cannot be removed once towing has been completed. The thin design of the towbar neck is popular with drivers who have rear parking sensors as this style of towbar is a lot less likely to cause interference with sensors when the vehicle is in reverse. The fixed swan neck is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. This style of towbar is also ALKO compatible, so you do not need to purchase an ALKO style towball if towing a caravan with an ALKO stabiliser.
The detachable swan neck towbar is the only style of towbar where the neck can be removed at the end of towing. Using a simple twist and push method, the towbar neck will easily detach from its housing, leaving the towbar practically invisible. This is an excellent option for drivers with rear parking sensors, as when the towbar neck has been removed, there will be no interference with the parking sensors. The detachable swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp styles on towbars, trailers and caravans. The detachable swan is also ALKO compatible.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting either the fixed swan neck towbar or the detachable swan neck towbar to the Renault Captur, a small non-visible bumper cut will be made to the vehicle undertray. If your Captur has been modified at all, a more significant cut may need to be made; all modifications to the vehicle will be discussed before the towbar engineer begins the installation.
