More about Mercedes GLC-Class
The entry-level edition of this SUV provides plenty of power, however, should you wish to quicken the pace, the GLC 300 petrol and the 300e PHEV pack a punch when it comes to acceleration speeds. The 300e PHEV has an instant power supply from the electric motor and releases an immediate power punch when you put the pedal to the metal.
The interior of the Mercedes GLC has been designed to the highest standards. With a commanding view of the road ahead, a rear-view camera, as well as a 360 degree that provides a virtual bird’s eye view to assist with manoeuvres, your eye-line certainly isn’t obstructed when driving.
Within the GLC, storage space is suitably generous, with wide door pockets that are easily big enough to swallow a large bottle of water. There’s also a covered storage area in the centre front armrest, two cupholders and a tray tucked away with wireless phone charging. In terms of capacity, the GLC’s 620-litre boot is bigger than the ones in the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
Although the luxury SUV market is saturated, the Mercedes GLC-Class is still one of the most popular towing vehicles on the market due to its spacious interior, comfortable interior, and hefty towing capacity.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The Mercedes GLC has the maximum towing capacity available, meaning the driver has between 200KG-2500KG to play with. The generous towing capacity allows you to take your pick when choosing what to tow.
Which Towbar is best for my Mercedes GLC-Class?
We offer a range of towbars for the Mercedes GLC, including the Detachable swan neck towbar, fixed flange towbar and the fixed swan neck towbar.
We always recommend the detachable swan neck towbar for those who have parking sensors as the detachable neck can be removed when towing has ended, meaning the parking sensors will not be affected by the towbar.
If you don’t want to remove the towbar neck after towing the fixed swan neck is the perfect option. The thinner style neck means it is less likely to affect parking sensors.
Will it need a bumper cut?
The GLC models do require a small bumper cut to allow enough clearance for the towbar neck, however, this is located on the undertray of the vehicle and cannot be seen at eye line. This information is the same for the AMG/AMG line versions of the vehicle.
