More about the Hyundai Tucson
The Tucson is full of innovative safety features that allow the driver to feel comfortable and confident with every journey they make. From the Blind Spot View Monitor to High Beam Assist, the safety features work as a support system to help the driver make tough driving decisions.
Equipped with a seven-airbag system, the Hyundai Tucson will protect the driver and its passengers if in a secondary collision. This system would come into play if, after the vehicle crashes for the first time and the airbags don't deploy, they remain ready to provide a buffer from another collision with another car.
When the driver is signalling to change lanes, an alert is issued if the Blind-Spot View Monitor system detects a risk of collision. Braking will automatically be applied to avert a collision if the alert is ignored.
With the Hyundai Tucson parking is no longer a chore, the Surround View Mirror offers a view of various viewpoints of the vehicle, including top view, zoom in/out for the front, rear left and right of the vehicle. This handy system allows the driver to have a full view of the vehicle during all manoeuvres, therefore making it near impossible to have a collision.

Which Towbar is best for my Hyundai Tucson?
There is an excellent range of towbars available for the Hyundai Tucson, each offering its advantages for purchasing.
First of all, the fixed flange towbar is the perfect option for those who prefer a permanent towbar on their Tucson. The fixed flange cannot be removed and will always remain present on the vehicle. The flange style towbar offers a backing plate on the bar's rear, allowing drivers to attach towing accessories to the Towbar by bolting them on. The fixed flange towbar is compatible with all styles of cycle carriers, bumper protector plates and most trailers and caravans. If your caravan is fitted with an ALKO stabiliser, an ALKO ball can be purchased and fitted to allow the fixed flange towbar to tow them.
The fixed swan neck towbar is another permanent towbar; however, the swan neck is a lot thinner in style. Many people purchase the fixed swan neck towbar as they are a lot less likely to trigger rear parking sensors, although this is not guaranteed. The fixed swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style towbars, trailers and caravans. The fixed swan neck towbar is ALKO compatible, so there is no need to purchase any accessories if your caravan is fitted with an ALKO stabiliser.
The detachable swan neck towbar can be removed once towing is completed, and this is often a popular feature when deciding on a style of Towbar. The detachable swan neck can easily be detached by unlocking the neck and using a twist and push method (the towbar fitter will demonstrate this during the installation). The detachable swan neck allows parking sensors to work as intended once the towbar neck has been removed. This style of Towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style bike carriers, trailers, caravans and ALKO stabilisers.
What is the towing capacity on the Hyundai Tucson?
The Hyundai Tuscon has an approximate towing weight of 1650KG. This gives ample capacity to tow trailers, cycle carriers and most small caravans. Some models may differ in capacity, so we would always advise referring to the vehicles VIN plate for an accurate reading.
Will my Hyundai Tucson need a bumper cut?
The Hyundai Tucson's bumper will be removed during the towbar installation, although this will be refitted upon completion. No further modifications are required on the standard style bumper models; if your Tuscon has an alternative bumper, please contact our sales team, who will discuss if any bumper cuts are required during the fitment.
