Which Towbar is best for my Jaguar F-Pace?
Three styles of towbars are available for the Jaguar E-Pace; a fixed flange towbar, a fixed swan neck and a detachable swan neck towbar. All three styles of Towbar offer the driver different things.
The fixed flange towbar is the only style of Towbar that can tow any style of cycle carrier. It is also the only style of Towbar with a plate on the rear, allowing bolt accessories to be added to the Towbar. The fixed flange also enables the Towbar to use the towball for towing whilst attaching a towbar accessory or cycle carrier to the plate. The fixed flange towbar requires an ALKO towball if the driver intends to tow a caravan with an ALKO chassis.
The fixed swan neck towbar is another permanent style of Towbar; however, the fixed swan neck towbar is a lot thinner in design than the fixed flange towbar. This makes the fixed swan neck perfect for the Jaguar F Paces with reverse parking sensors, as the swan neck towbar allows a larger clearance between the parking sensors and where the Towbar sits. The fixed swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. It is also ALKO compatible, meaning the towball will work perfectly alongside an ALKO chassis without needing an ALKO towball to be fitted.
Finally, the detachable swan neck towbar is the only style of Towbar that can be removed from the vehicle at the end of towing. The detachable neck easily detaches from its housing using a twist-and-push method (similar to opening a medicine bottle). Once the neck has been detached, the towbar fitment is practically invisible, allowing the vehicle's aesthetics to return to its original design. The detachable swan neck also comes with a key to be able to protect the Towbar from theft. The detachable swan neck style towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. It is also ALKO compatible to be used alongside all ALKO chassis.
Will my Jaguar E-Pace need a bumper cut?
When fitting any of the three styles of towbars to the Jaguar E Pace, the bumper will be removed during fitment but will be reinstalled upon completion. No bumper cut is required on any of the standard bumper models; however, if your E pace has been modified, this could cause the need for a bumper incision to be made.
