Zappi – their most well-known product is now available to buy online at www.towbarexpress.co.uk. Zappi was the world’s first solar and wind-compatible electric car charger and put British manufacturing back on the map. More specifically, the Humber Freeport where the innovations complex is based and is the epicentre of green technology in the UK.
Myenergi was founded in 2016 by an energetic pair whose passion for renewable energy drove their vision to optimise renewable energy use at home. Since then, they have released a further six products promoting sustainability, and picked up countless awards such as ‘Product of the Future’ at the Energy Efficiency Awards, and Business Leader’s ‘One to Watch’.
Their team of six has grown significantly since start-up, with a workforce of over 350 occupying international subsidiaries in Germany and Benelux, and more recently Ireland in 2021.
With the Zappi EV Charger, you have total control of your generated green energy. You can divert surplus power from your solar panels to your electric car, saving on those pricey bills as well as taking steps to a more sustainable future.
The ability to utilise your green energy is a bonus, but you don’t need solar panels or a wind power system to use the Zappi, it can operate as standard using the grid. However, it does mean that you are future-proofed should your situation change.
The Zappi charger has been carefully manufactured to ensure an easy installation, the innovative team has carefully designed features and functions to give you complete control of your electric car charging experience. Paired with the myenergi app, you can set timers to utilise economy tariffs with our electricity provider.
The Zappi is available in two sleek colourways and benefits from two power options, 7kW 1ph (most commonly found in homes and domestic products) and 22kW 3ph (most commonly found in the workplace and commercial buildings). The Zappi is also available in two different tethering options.
The Type 2 Tethered means that they come ready to use with a cable attached. This cable cannot be removed but the plug type meets the worldwide industry standard and is suitable for all modern EVs. The Untethered options do not come with a cable attached to the unit, meaning you would need to use a separate cable to charge your vehicle. This is more suitable if you have an older (Type 1 socket) on your Electric Vehicle.
