The first thing to check whether your driving license allows you to tow. There are big law differences depending if you passed your driving yet before or after 1997.

You'll also need to make sure that your car is capable of towing what you need to tow.

Check your maximum towing weight

Every vehicle has a towing capacity that you must not exceed.

Towing a trailer

As well as ensuring that your towing vehicle can handle the weight that you are towing, it is equally important not to overload your trailer.
