Procurement and Logistics Administrator

From our head office in Egton near Whitby, we control our fleet of vehicles covering most of the country.


Due to the expansion of our mobile fleet, we require a new team member to join our busy rural office.

Based at our rural Head Office in Egton near Whitby, this position is for the organisation of our national fleet of mobile workers.

This role will include:

  • Route planning.
  • Purchasing of parts and equipment.
  • Managing work sheets for mobile fitters.
  • Dealing with multiple suppliers.

In addition, you would be required to assist with the day to day running of our busy office:

  • Communicating with customers via phone and email.
  • Meeting sales targets as set.
  • Building our trade customer database.
  • Identify new business opportunities by researching new customer connections and developing business with them.
  • Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with sales prospects, and recommending solutions for them.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information.
  • Maintain quality of service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by keeping up to date with new product releases.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


This is a complex role in which you would need to ensure that in excess of 200 towbars per week are organised, and ordered correctly. It will require an intelligent, logical thinker, who is capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines.


Skills and Qualifications:

You will need to have a good telephone manner and be confident to deal with customers on the telephone.

You also must be proficient with Microsoft Windows-based computers and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience of Magento, and Sage Accounts would be an advantage, but not essential.


Further Details

This is a full-time position.

Hours are normally Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.

Salary is competative, dependant on experience.

Due to the rural location own transport would be essential.
