More about the Skoda Superb
Aesthetically, the Superb has been tweaked slightly, with the octagonal grille in between thinner headlights. Beneath, there’s a new lower grille shape and isolated air takes at the side. The classic Skoda badge indent from the bonnet to the grille remains.
Due to the MQB Evo platform, there will be no pure-electric Superb. Instead, VW Group has introduced the final generation of combustion engines that are compatible with Euro 7 emissions rules likely to be introduced in 2025.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The Skoda Superb has a towing weight of approximately 2,200KG, making it one of the best towing vehicles around. There is ample capacity to be able to tow a Trailer, Cycle Carrier, or Caravan.
We always advise checking the weight of what you are planning to tow as overloading your towbar can result in damage to the vehicle and the Towbar and in extreme situations can cause the load to unhitch. To be able to check the towing capacity for your Skoda Superb please refer to the VIN plate that is located either under the bonnet or passenger door sill.
Which Towbar is best for my Skoda Superb?
There are three different towbars available for the Skoda Superb, A fixed flange towbar, a fixed swan neck towbar and a detachable swan neck towbar.
All three of the towbars are compatible with trailers, clamp-on cycle carriers and caravans. The fixed and detachable swan neck towbar are both ALKO compatible, meaning that no ALKO ball is required when towing a caravan with an ALKO stabiliser. The fixed flange towbar is the only style of towbar that requires an ALKO Tow ball, however, if this is discussed at the time of booking this can easily be fitted at the same time as the towbar fitment.
If your vehicle has parking sensors then we would always recommend opting for the detachable swan neck towbar, as the neck can be removed when it’s not in use. Once the detachable neck is removed, you will be unable to tell that your vehicle has had a Towbar installation, therefore maintaining the vehicle’s aesthetic.
Will it need a bumper cut?
