More about the Tavascan
From the side, the Tavascan exudes athleticism with its sleek coupe-SUV silhouette. The gently sloping roofline and sculpted surfaces emphasise movement and agility, while bold character lines add to its muscular stance. Depending on the trim, aerodynamic alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches complement the car’s proportions and enhance airflow for improved efficiency.
At the rear, the Tavascan continues its distinctive look with a full-width LED light bar that integrates the brand’s triangular motif, creating a powerful visual connection between front and back. The illuminated logo and clean, sculpted tail design are further enhanced by a subtle rear diffuser, underscoring the car’s sporty yet refined aesthetic.
Beyond its striking appearance, every element of the Tavascan’s exterior serves a purpose. Carefully designed aerodynamic features—including front air channels and an optimised underbody—help reduce drag and improve cooling for the battery and motors. Cupra’s bold design philosophy is further reflected in its range of exclusive colour finishes, such as the elegant Century Bronze, which accentuates the car’s athletic curves.
Overall, the Cupra Tavascan’s exterior blends style, performance, and innovation, offering a design that’s as functional as it is visually captivating.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The Cupra Tavascan offers a towing capacity that ranges between 1,000 kg and 1,200 kg, depending on the vehicle’s specification. To confirm the exact towing capacity for your specific model, you can refer to the vehicle’s VIN plate, which is typically located on the door frame. This plate provides precise information about your vehicle’s capabilities and ensures you stay within the manufacturer’s recommended towing limits.
Which Towbar is best for my Tavascan?
We offer three main types of towbars, each designed to suit different towing needs and vehicle styles.
The fixed flange towbar is the only towbar that allows multiple towing accessories to be bolted directly onto the towbar. It features a solid plate at the rear, providing secure mounting points for accessories while leaving the towbar neck free for towing. This design makes it a versatile option for drivers who frequently use towing equipment.
The fixed swan neck towbar offers a slimmer, more streamlined appearance compared to the flange design. Its sleek profile makes it especially popular with vehicles equipped with reverse parking sensors, as it provides enough clearance to ensure that the sensors remain fully functional. This towbar combines practicality with subtle styling.
Finally, the detachable swan neck towbar provides the ultimate in flexibility and convenience. Its towbar neck can be easily removed after towing using a simple twist-and-push mechanism, similar to a medicine cap. Once detached, the vehicle returns to its original, clean appearance. The detachable swan neck also maintains a slim design, making it ideal for towing a variety of accessories while preserving the vehicle’s aesthetic.
Will it need a bumper cut?
When fitting any of the three towbars to the CUPRA Tavascan, a small, non-visible bumper cut will be made to the vehicle’s undertray. This incision is discreet and can only be seen when looking directly underneath the car, ensuring that the vehicle’s exterior appearance remains unchanged.
If you have any questions or would like further information regarding the bumper cut for your specific model, please contact our office on 01947 895230 — our team will be happy to assist you.
