Parking struggles are a thing of the past with the Formentor's advanced systems. The technology allows the driver to get into any space with ease. Autonomous parking is a technology that will enable the driver to pick a parking space and then utilise park assist to guide them into the space without the need to crane their neck over the passenger seats.
The Rear View Camera allows the driver to enter the tightest of spaces. The camera's view is streamed into an LED screen in front of the driver, meaning the driver can focus on parking rather than worrying about what is behind them. Finally, when it comes to getting out of the space, the Exit Assist technology will help you reverse out and provide warnings of any oncoming traffic/pedestrians.
What’s the Towing Capacity of the Cupra Formentor?
The Cupra Formentor has a towing capacity of approximately 2000KG; this is a great capacity and allows the driver an array of options when deciding on what to tow. You can receive an accurate towing capacity for your vehicle by referring to the VIN plate on the vehicle.
Which Towbar is best for my Cupra Formentor?
We offer three different styles of towbars for the Cupra Formentor: a fixed flange towbar, a fixed swan neck towbar and a detachable swan neck towbar.
The fixed flange towbar is a permanent towbar that cannot be removed at the end of towing; its chunky design may mean that once the car is in reverse, the parking sensors may pick up the Towbar- even when there is nothing attached to the Towbar. The fixed flange towbar is the only Towbar has is fitted with a plate at the back of the bar that allows for towing accessories to be bolted on. The fixed flange towbar is compatible with all styles of cycle carriers, trailers, and caravans. However, an ALKO towball would need to be fitted if towing anything with an ALKO stabiliser.
The fixed swan neck towbar is another permanent style of Towbar, although the fixed swan neck is much thinner in design compared to the flange style towbar. The fixed swan neck towbar is a lot less likely to cause any interference when the vehicle is in reverse; however, this is not guaranteed. The fixed swan neck is compatible with all clamp-on style cycle carriers, trailers and caravans. No ALKO ball is required when towing with an ALKO stabiliser.
Finally, a Detachable Swan Neck towbar; this is the only style of Towbar we offer that is removable. The detachable swan neck towbar uses a twist and push method to detach the towbar neck from its housing; once the neck has been removed, the rest of the Towbar is almost invisible. This is popular with customers who wish to keep the aesthetics of their vehicle, but also with people who have reverse parking sensors. The reverse parking sensors will work as intended once the towbar neck has been removed. The detachable swan neck towbar is compatible with all clamp-on style towbars, trailers and caravans. No ALKO towball is required if towing with an ALKO stabiliser.
Will it need a bumper cut?
There are no bumper cuts required when fitting any of our towbars to the Cupra Formentor with the standard bumpers; if you have a Formentor that has been modified or is not standard, it may mean our towbar engineers might have to make some modifications to the bumper at the time of fitment.
