More about the Citroen Berlingo MPV
The Berlingo’s boxy exterior is designed to maximise interior space, making it an ever more practical five or seven-seat family car. The high roof provides more than enough headroom in both the front and the back of the vehicle, together with plenty of legroom, keeping the ride comfortable, even for taller passengers. With comfort being the priority, Citroen has delivered with soft suspension, ensuring a relaxing ride. Also, considering the Berlingo is a high-sided, van-based car, it still handles well around corners, with a lot less body lean than expected.
Driver safety is at the forefront of Citroen’s mind as they have introduced a range of Connected Services accessible from both the vehicle and, in some cases, the MyCitroen App to ease the demands of the busy life on the move and make travelling much more relaxed, particularly when towing long distances. The Connected Services include Adaptive Cruise Control which automatically maintains a safe distance from the vehicle in front, so the driver need not think about this. Another clever feature Citroen has introduced is the Active Safety Brake which detects obstacles ahead and automatically brakes without any reaction from the driver.
What's my Towing Capacity?
The Citroen Berlingo has an approximate towing capacity of between 750 - 1,250 Kilograms. This capacity would make it possible to tow a lightweight caravan, small trailer, or cycle carrier. However, we recommend you refer to your vehicle’s VIN plate for a specific towing capacity for your vehicle.
Which Towbar is best for my vehicle?
The Fixed Flange is a permanent towbar that cannot be removed once towing has been completed. The Fixed Flange is a versatile towbar which can be used with a bumper guard and is compatible with a range of accessories and all cycle carriers. When towing a caravan, an ALKO ball is required with a Fixed Flange towbar.
Will it need a bumper cut?
To fit the Fixed Flange towbar to a Citroen Berlingo, no bumper cut is required, and the bumper does not need to be removed to complete the fitting. This is correct for standard models of Citroen Berlingo; if your vehicle has been modified in any way, please contact our office on 01947 895230.
