The electric quattro- all-wheel drive system has been designed to provide optimal traction handling, making manoeuvring struggles a thing of the past. When fitting a towbar on to the e-tron the vehicle specific wiring will be fitted as standard, meaning all these towing functions would be enabled when towing. A coding update will be required at the time of fitment to allow the dedicated wiring kit to be integrated with the vehicle’s onboard computer.
The standard e-tron is also kitted out with driver assistance technology, a 360-degree parking sensor, a rear-view camera and lane departure warning. These clever pieces of technology are perfect features for long distance towing, especially handy for motorway driving.

What is the Audi E-Tron's Towing Capacity?
The E-tron boasts a generous 1800kg towing weight, meaning that there is very little that would be off limits when it comes to deciding what to tow. However, the best way to receive an accurate towing capacity for your vehicle is by checking your vin plate. This is usually located under the bonnet or on the passenger door sill. Which Towbar is best for my Audi E-Tron?
We offer both the fixed flange towbar and detachable towbar for the Audi e-tron.
The fixed flange towbar is an excellent option for those who do not wish to remove the Towbar after they have finished towing, although the chunkier design is known for causing some interference from the rear parking sensors. The fixed flange towbar is great for pairing with towing accessories such as bumper protector plates and bolt on cycle carriers. The accessories use the bolt on plate at the rear of the towbar meaning the driver is able to use the accessories at the same time as towing.
The fixed swan neck towbar has a thinner towbar neck to the fixed flange towbar and therefore is less likely to be detected by parking sensors; however, this is not guaranteed. This is a great option for those who prefer a sleeker-looking towbar but do not want to remove it after towing is completed. The fixed swan neck is compatible with all ALKO stabilisers and can be used with all cycle carriers that clamp on to the towball.
The detachable swan neck towbar is the perfect choice for those who want to protect their vehicle's aesthetic. Once towing is completed, the towbar neck can be removed, and the Towbar will appear practically invisible. The towbar neck is removed by unlocking the neck and using a twist and push action. The detachable towbar is also compatible with all ALKO stabilisers and all clamp on style cycle carriers.
Will my E-Tron need a bumper cut?
The bumper cut needed on the e-tron is typically nonvisible, this means a cut will be made to the undertray of the vehicle but cannot be seen when looking face on. Some models may already have a factory bumper cut; however, this is dependent on the trim style.
