Which Towbar is best for my Defender?
We offer a fixed flange and the detachable swan neck towbar on the Land Rover Defender. The detachable tow bar is the most desirable tow bar for this vehicle, as it can be removed once towing has finished, leaving the vehicle's aesthetics unaffected. The detachable towbar is compatible with most cycle carriers and all towing hitches, making it the perfect choice.
The fixed flange towbar is also available for the Defender and is perfect for bolting on towing accessories or even adding a cycle carrier on for your next adventure. The large chassis on the Defender makes the fixed flange suitable, as the chances of your parking sensors being affected are relatively small.
Will my Defender need a bumper cut?
The bumper cut on the Defender is classed as non-visible; all modifications to the bumper will be made on the vehicle's under-tray. This means no cut will be visible unless you to look underneath the vehicle. For the towbar to be fitted, the towbar engineer will have to temporarily remove the bumper, this will be refitted before the end of fitment.
